Europe’s first Bitcoin ETF To Launch Later in July
According to Jacobi Asset Management, Europe’s first Bitcoin ETF, BCOIN on Euronext Amsterdam, is set to launch later this month.
Due to the failures of Terra Luna and FTX, the business delayed the introduction of the ETF in 2022; however, the corporation currently says that the launch is on schedule since “demand has shifted.”
This will be the “first Bitcoin ETF on Euronext,” according to Jacobi, and will let investors to “directly acquire and own the units of the fund that owns the Bitcoin.” According to Jamie Khurshid, CEO of Jacobi, every other exchange-traded product for digital assets in Europe is intended as an exchange-traded note that offers ownership of a debt security on the asset rather than the underlying asset itself.
Because of the ETF’s openness, investors will be able to make informed decisions about the debt and risk exposure they are taking on. Fidelity Digital Assets will keep the digital assets that support the ETF in custody under independent audit for the benefit of the fund.
