Notice on Changes to Services in the Netherlands

We regret to announce that Bitdenex is leaving the Dutch market with immediate effect. The existing Dutch users will be required to withdraw their Crypto Assets from the Bitdenex exchange platform.

Users will not be able to make purchases, sell orders or deposits with immediate effect. We encourage users to take appropriate action by withdrawing assets from their Bitdenex exchange account immediately. If you have not withdrawn your Crypto Assets from your Bitdenex account before June 1st, 2026, Bitdenex reserves all rights to take appropriate action required to leaving the Dutch market, including closing your individual Bitdenex wallet and deeming your Bitdenex account as an dormant account. All remaining fiat assets that are technically able to be converted to USDC, will automatically be converted to USDC on June 1st, 2026.

Bitdenex has been in a comprehensive MiCAR-license application process as a Crypto Asset Service Provider (CASP) with the Dutch regulator. Although we explored many alternative avenues to service Dutch residents in compliance with MiCAR regulations, unfortunately this has not resulted in a CASP MiCAR license in the Netherlands at this time. Bitdenex will continue striving to obtain authorizations and a MiCAR-license to provide our products and services to users in the EU.

Bitdenex is already compliant with EU standards on the prevention of money laundering and financing of terrorism as evidenced by its registrations in with the Dutch Central Bank (DNB). Bitdenex continues to be committed to working collaboratively with other regulators in the EU and are committed and focused on obtaining the MiCAR license.

In addition, existing Dutch resident users will receive an email with comprehensive information about what this means for their accounts and any assets they currently have on the Bitdenex exchange platform, alongside any steps they will need to take. While Bitdenex is disappointed that this has become necessary, it will continue to engage productively and transparently with EU regulators.
